This past Saturday, July 26th, The Center hosted our 4th annual Chili Cookoff to raise funds for programming and counselling. The Swift Current RCMP, Hutch Ambulance and Swift Current Fire Department competed to see who could create the tastiest chili. The people and judges voted and the results are in! Swift Current RCMP came in first for the People’s Choice award, while Swift Current Fire Department snatched up the Judge’s Vote.
A HUGE thank you to Pioneer Co-op and The City of Swift Current for making this event possible. And of course everyone who stopped by our booth to chat, donate, taste and vote!

It’s back.
The Center’s fifth annual Chili Cookoff. Swift Current Firefighters, Swift Current RCMP and Hutch Ambulance will all be competing for the title of Chili Cookoff Champion.
Here’s how it works:
- On June 21st, come on down to Market Square (Chaplin St E)
- Donate to The Center
- Taste the different first responder’s Chilis
- Vote for your favourite!
The money raised will go towards free counselling offered by The Center to youth and families of the community. Chili will be served starting at 10:30am and will go until sold out.
